I've got a friendI’ve got a friend whose brown hair sticks straight off his head,
Whose eyes shines bright will his youthful grin.
He likes to play in my backyard
As a brave young man going off to war,
And we fire our guns and we sling our swords.

Like a snowman or a pillow fort ready to collapse at any time.
But I didn’t-

All I could do was build and paint and build and paint and build and
Hug my knees and hum like a songbird in the morning
Perched on the muddy ground,
Pretending the dust is as good as the bug on the dewy spring flower.
Life sped by at the speed of light,
And I was caught between four walls with no hard,
Ready-made door to allo
